I can't believe I got the job

Again, picture the summer job of your dreams. Fieldwork, lab work, and public health work - a superb combination, and you've been offered an interview. So it just comes down to this particular half hour in which you show this professor that you have what it takes to do this job.

After ten minutes of explaining to the professor what laboratory experience you have as professionally as possible (constricted by your pure awkwardness of course), as well as what classes you took, he simply asks you to clarify and confirm your experience.

"So, do you believe that your laboratory experience will help prepare you for this job?"

Being extremely awkward, you just have to answer the question like so-

".... I..... hope so!!!!" and giggle both loudly and nervously. This is the point when you realize you probably might as melt into the floor and show yourself out the door.

Fortunately, you get the summer job of your dreams, but not after obtaining a moment that you can look back on and shake your head at.
